Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal extension is the single TLD intended for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other titles people are famous by. At the beginning, solely third-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to order john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already grabbed 3rd-level domains remained active.

Through our company, you can grab your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to change the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the current domain service provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been completed. There are no special prerequisites on who can secure a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the idea behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
